Paddy wins the AvD-Histo-Tour 2025

Sunday, 10 Aug 2025

Two years ago, Paddy decided to improve Dom, the steady Volvo 1800E, to enhance its performance, traction, and corner handeling. Its baptism of fire at Coppa 2025 ended well, despite a shocking moment and the loss of a lot of oil. At the last minute, on the Sunday before the rally, Paddy had to replace his broken trip meter. Time and again, Paddy "Nico" Murphy was a lifesaver. In the end, all the improvements paid off!

After two and a half days of rallying, and around 1500 kilometres of road connecting four race tracks peppered with special stages, Paddy was at the top of the Sanduhr category table. The race for victory was fiercely contested and was only decided in the final regularity test. All results are available on the AVDHT2025 site at JBTimeConcept.

As for Dom's improvements, Paddy was 30 seconds faster on the Nordschleife, 22 seconds faster at Spa, and 15 seconds faster at Zolder than he had been two years earlier. There are no official results from the Nürburgring GP Sprint track. At Zolder, the Volvo also beat the mighty GTV by one second!
